Remembering Luca Jones - Have You Got the Balls

In 2011 Luca Jones tragically lost his battle against Luekaemia.
I as well as many others had tried to raise awareness of the need to register for Bone Marrow Transplant in the hope that a donor might have been found who could have saved his life.. Alas it wasn't to be.

It is still the same situation now as it was then, in that the best donors are male aged between 18 and 30 years old and this age group and gender is massively under subscribed.

'Remembering Luca' is my next ride to raise awareness again. I will be purchasing an old bike here in Melbourne Australia and riding it from Adelaide to Cairnes under the slogan of 'Have You Got the Balls'.

It is a challenging ride due to the cost of living here. Hostels, camping and especially hotels are far too expensive and food and a beer is also quite high in price, but fortunately petrol is about the same level as India. So maybe it's time to dry out for a while.

I will also be doing a sponsored hair colouring to co-incide with the worlds greatest shave event scheduled for the 15th of March which is when I hope to commence my ride.
I am considering a hair colour of pink and will be making the whole trip under this bright pink thatch. If you wish to sponsor me for this event contact me appealmobile@hotmail.com, or if you wish to do something yourself for Luekaemia research then visit www.worldsgreaterstshave.com

But the biggest contribution anyone can make is to register as a possible bone marrow donor.
Especially if 'you have the balls'
You can find the address of the bone marrow foundation of your country in the link below and as all registries are interlinked you will be on a world wide register
